Head of Strategy: Hamish Webster
Hamish graduated with the VCE in 2016 and is currently studying a Bachelor of Law(Honours)/Commerce at Monash University. Hamish’s work volunteering as a tutor for refugees and his exposure to under privileged children both in inner city Melbourne and the centre of Australia has made him aware of the obstacles and disadvantages some children face to be educated. Hamish’s experiences managing a warehouse, sporting competitions and organising fundraisers and events, but most importantly his desire to improve the lives of those less fortunate, make him suited, he believes, to take leadership of operations at RESN.
Head of Growth: Tiger Lin
Tiger completed his VCE in 2016 as the School Captain and Co-Dux of his high school. His interest in politics has motivated his move to Canberra to study a double degree in Law/Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) at the Australian National University. He has experience in the tutoring industry both as a tutor and in management, currently holding a tutor management position at Crimson Education, a global tutoring and consulting firm.
Treasurer and Secretary: Sof Hay
Sof completed VCE in 2016 as a School Executive Prefect and Debating and Public Speaking Captain. Her curiosity for the legal system and commercial world has compelled her pursuit of Law(Honours)/Commerce at Monash University, making her well-placed to look after the governance and finances of RESN. Having found her leadership experiences extremely rewarding, her mentoring and tutoring endeavors have persisted into university, culminating in a mentoring advisory role to the university itself. Sof also has extensive experience in the industry, tutoring privately and professionally across all her subjects.
Head of Education: Jun Kim
Jun graduated in 2016 as School Vice-Captain and Co-Dux of his high school. He is currently studying Medicine at Monash University, driven by his curiosity about the human body and his desire to positively contribute to people's lives. He has tutored extensively since he finished secondary school, finding great enjoyment in providing guidance to students from Year 6 to Year 12 across a range of subjects.
Head of Technology: Lachlan Collins
Lachlan finished VCE in 2016 as his school's Academic Captain and Swimming Captain. His passion for medicine and coinciding interest in research motivated him to study first Biomedicine and now Medicine at the University of Melbourne. Lachlan is the head software engineer for RESN, and he thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to share his knowledge of maths and science.
Head of Operations: Anwyn Arnott-Tan
Anwyn graduated in 2016 as a House Vice Captain and member of the Year 12 Student Leadership Team. She is currently studying Commerce and Science at Monash University, driven by her strong interest in the commercialisation and business development side of biotechnology to achieve global public health. Anwyn’s experiences coordinating student bodies, sports teams, and managing a medical practice has developed her confidence, organisational and teamwork abilities required to take a proactive approach in an operations role at RESN.
Head of Business Development: Shiban Shahid
Shiban completed his HSC in 2016 and is currently studying a Bachelor of Law (Honours)/ Finance at the ANU. He is driven by his keen interest in effective and sustainable wealth distribution to minimise the obstacles faced in disadvantaged communities. He has extensive tutoring and leadership experience in both tutoring (both private and at uni), as well as coaching various sports.
Head of PR: Mahalia Mingo
Mahalia completed VCE in 2016, her love of English and Literature led her to begin studying a Bachelor of Communications, majoring in Public Relations at RMIT. Often the go-to girl for all things media, PR, events and social media, Mahalia opted to join RESN's Leadership Team as she firmly believes that your education should not be affected by your location. Her three years experience as a PR, Social Media and Copywriting Manager roles could be a use to the RESN portfolio. Mahalia hopes to be an inspiring leader for her close knit team and the RESN community in their joint passion for equal education.
Head of Outreach: Damian Grubnic
Damian graduated VCE in 2016 and and is in his fourth year at Monash University. Damian joined RESN as an outreach presenter in early 2019 having worked and volunteered as a tutor for all ages since 2014. Damian loves history and hopes to study it further after completing his bachelor.
Head of Recruitment: Bailey Wraith
Bailey is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and International relations. Following a passion for languages Bailey is also completing a diploma in Spanish. As Head of Recruitment Bailey was drawn to RESN by a desire to help regional students and to develop this platform which is creating a community which bridges the geographic divide between metro and country students.
Head of Engagement: Rish Mishra
Having finished VCE in 2017, Rish took a year off to work in Outdoor Education in Regional Victoria, and is currently studying Law and Commerce at Monash University. Rish's enjoyment of teaching and learning motivated him to join RESN, and his interest in communities and relationship building further drew him to the Head of Engagement Portfolio.
Head of Sponsorships: Micha Schwartzshtein
Micha completed VCE in 2015. Her ongoing interest in the law and it's interrelation with society propelled her to undertake a Bachelor of Law and Arts degree at Monash University. Assuming a leadership role as Head of Sponsorships for RESN, Micha works closely with both public and private local organisations, firms and companies to maximise equal education opportunities for regional students in Victoria. Passionate about advancing the academic potential of regional students, through her contributions, she is looking to make a difference.
Head of QLD: Aislinn Grimley
Aislinn completed the QCE in 2016 as her school’s French Captain and Cross Country Captain. Having moved to Canberra from the Sunshine Coast to study a Bachelor of Law (Honours) / Advanced French at the ANU, she is extremely grateful for the opportunity to study interstate, hopes to enable other regional students to have the same privilege.
