We understand that privacy of your information is important to you and therefore it is important to us. We use a combination of security controls and internal processes to help us protect your information from unauthorised access and disclosure.
We collect the information that you provide us on the sign-up form and may collect information provided by you when asking questions. We use your information to verify your regional or rural status. This information is stored electronically and can only be accessed by three members of the RESN Leadership Team. Outside of the RESN Leadership Team, tutors can only see your first name to ensure that your identity remains private. Any reports or statistics published will never include identifying information.
Your email address will never be provided to 3rd-party marketing services. We utilise your email address to send transactional emails for matters such as confirming your email is valid, alerting you when a tutor has answered a question, or letting you know when you have a reply to a support request; these emails are not voluntary, although you can remove an email or request account deletion. We also send monthly progress reports, including statistics like how many questions you asked that month; these emails are opt-in, and you may choose to do so during sign-up or at any later date. Transactional emails are sent by Mailgun, which greatly simplifies delivery and lets us know that emails are actually being received.
